Any time I have ever had a problem with break downs or maintenance issues it has been dealt with by repair or replacement on the same day...we all know equipment breaks down, where Volvo is in my opinion head and shoulders above the competition is in how they deal with the problem, not to mention th ...More

The reason I always rent my equipment from Volvo is very simple: the customer service I receive from the team of Mike Jacobson and Gary Hockenberry. Both treat me like I am their only customer and as long as I have been doing business with them they have never once let me down. When the need for equ ...More

Everyone at BlueLine Rental is very excited about the changes that are occurring here at the company. What I would like to share with you today is that along with our new company name and brand, we are adding to our already comprehensive line of equipment with machines from additional vendors. What this means to our customers, is that they will be able to find more of what they need in one place. The addition of new, trusted vendors to our inventory increases their ability to get what they need – when they need it. This adds to the ease it takes to complete their projects. Even so, we remain true to our commitment that if we don’t have what a customer needs when its needed, we’ll get it for them. BlueLine Rental still operates a network of over 130 rental stores in North America that offer a comprehensive line of essential equipment for the commercial and industrial construction ma... More

The Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) recently released the Top 10 most cited standards in the United States for 2013. Each year they release a list of the most frequently cited standard violations and this year’s list is very similar to last year’s.  This tells us one thing – we all need to be more safety conscience and aware of the information we are given. The report, in addition to listing the most cited standards, also identifies key areas where companies and their employees can concentrate their efforts to achieve a safer work environment.  Here too, knowing this information will help avoid commonly experienced work safety issues. OSHA’s Top 10 cited standards for 2013 are as follows: 1.    Fall Protection2.    Hazard Communication3.    Scaffolding4.    Respiratory protection5. ... More

At BlueLine Rental we pride ourselves in offering our customers a safe, reliable fleet that’s the youngest in the industry. We carry equipment from the top manufacturers to meet the diverse needs of our customers. When you visit our BlueLine Rental stores looking for a scissor lift, boom, portable material or aerial work platform, variable reach forklift or light tower - chances are very good that you’ll be renting Genie® equipment. Genie® Industries was founded in 1966 by Bud Bushnell who purchased manufacturing rights to a material lift that operated on compressed air. Customers were impressed with the “magic in the bottle” used to raise and lower the hoist. Hence, the name “Genie®” was born. “Genie® has a very unique culture,” Tim McAuliffe, Terex® Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) national account manager, said. “That culture encompasses building a quality product, making it reliabl... This past winter has proven to be extremely difficult for the construction industry in many markets throughout North America.  Although winter is retaining its gripping hold in several areas, spring is on the way and with the warmer weather we typically can look forward to an increase in construction activities.Associated Builders and Contractors’ (ABC) recently reported in depth on that subject.    According to their Chief Economist, Anirban Basu, the brutal winter which has wrought havoc upon major markets has made economic data difficult to interpret. “Economists have been forced to consider whether recent economic weakness is temporary and attributable to the weather, or whether it points to yet another disappointing year,” Basu said. However, ABC’s Construction Confidence Index (CCI), an index which measures construction prospects along three dimensions – revenues...   I am pleased to share with you our new company and name, BlueLine Rental.  This is an exciting change for our business. When you knew our company as Volvo Rents, you knew we were here for you – day or night – with the equipment you needed to keep your projects moving smoothly.  We handled our business relationships with the attention they deserved – on time deliveries of high quality, safe, reliable equipment.  That will not change.  So as we ring in the new, we’ll be keeping a bit of the old with us – the way we do business and the way we handle our customer’s business. Yes our name has changed, but what’s important are the people behind that name who remain dedicated to our customer’s business, and committed to maintaining the uncompromising level of customer service and performance they have come to rely upon.  We still offer to our customers, a line of...  There has been a lot of talk about our new company and how many things will remain the same.  However, there are some changes that you will be seeing.  There is a fresh new brand that we are introducing in the field for BlueLine Rental. We are currently in the process of rebranding, however, it remains a work in progress.  Very shortly though, you will be seeing new branding at all of our BlueLine Rental stores, on our representatives letterhead and business cards and of course on equipment we rent. When you call to rent our trusted equipment, you will now hear our representatives identify the company as BlueLine Rental.  Don’t be fooled – it’s the same hardworking representative available to help you with an expanded line of fleet.  Just the name has changed.    So yes, there are changes happening at BlueLine Rental – but those changes a... Roadside inspections pose quite a challenge for any organization that has vehicles on the road.  We’re no different.  But looking back on 2013 I have to say I am quite proud of the way we faced those challenges and rose above them.  I want to congratulate everyone on the BlueLine team for the successes we’ve achieved – together. During 2013, 65% of all our roadside inspections resulted in a no violation inspection.  That number is up from 57% in 2012.  Congratulations go to the drivers who received no violation inspections.  Their efforts are an inspiration and great example of how we strive to conduct our business.  Keep up the good work!  DOT bases safety ratings on 7 categories -- Unsafe Driving, Hours-of-Service, Driver Fitness, Controlled Substances and Alcohol, Vehicle Maintenance, Hazardous Materials, Crash data.  Below listed is each c... The Longmont, Colorado store recently held a very successful customer appreciation luncheon for approximately 170 people. “Black Eagle is our largest customer in the tri-state area – Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah,” Roger Howell, BlueLine outside sales representative said. “They contacted us to sponsor a luncheon on site for them and we were happy to do it.” The Colorado store hosted the luncheon on a pipeline crew site. In addition to team members from Black Eagle, several attendees from other oil companies – Anadarko and Gusher Oil Field Services - were there as well, enjoying the catered barbeque luncheon from Nordy’s. “It was a cold, snowy day so my son, who joined us at the event, handed out BlueLine Rental hats to all the attendees as they grabbed a bite to eat,” Roger said. Although a different name appeared on the hats and on the banner which hung at the site – it was business as u... More
