Fri 2012-12-28 7:59:15 | by

Industrial Info Resources located in Sugar Land, Texas, recently posted a story about oil production in the United States. According to their research, oil production in the U.S. has hit a 15-year high.

The article, written by Richard Finlayson, Industrial Info Resources senior international editor, stated that, “The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) reports that domestic oil production capacity has increased by 766,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) to a total volume of 6.41 million BBL/d. This is the highest level in 15 years, and the largest increase in production since the first well was drilled in 1859.”
